Bundles
Living with a rare illness, I often feel like a specimen. Tests are performed, but the answers always return “unknown” or ”indeterminate”. These bundles are my imaginative offspring, indiscriminately budding into being and refusing clear identification. Each drawing calls to life a new mutation slowly formed through layers of dry and wet media. They are small, self-contained clusters of indeterminate matter. Yet, they are also playful oddities optimistically sending out their roots into the unknown. They are abnormalities unapologetically taking up space, content to be unexplained “bundles”.
